12 Lead ECG recording
This is suitable for staff who are involved in taking, but not interpreting a 12 lead ECG. Our trainers will need to have access to your ECG machine for the practical work, to ensue staff are familiar and competent in its use. Delegates will work through a workbook which they will keep as a reference at the end of the course
Course objectives include:
- Discuss when an ECG would be needed
- Demonstrate accurate recording of a 12 Lead ECG
- Be able to identify possible problems with recording
The content includes:
- Basic anatomy & physiology of the heart
- How the ECG looks at the heart
- Correct electrode placement
- Trouble shooting
