Fire Legislation
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 came into force on 1st October 2006 and repeals and revokes two pieces of fire legislation:

The Fire Precautions Act 1971

The Fire Precautions (workplace) Regulations 1997
Fire Safety training relevant to your workplace can be provided - this may range from a 1 hour - 3 hour session.

Fire Awareness Course
Duration 2 hours

To discuss the safe and appropriate use of fire extinguishers

Fire Marshall Course
Duration 4 hours
Course objectives:

Be aware of key fire safety duties under the law

Be able to recognise habitual human behaviour in a fire situation

Know the typical role of a fire warden in relation to workplace fire sfaety

Be able to state the basic principles of risk assessment

Be aware of how to prevent fire or limit its impact

Be able to state the common modes of building evacuation

Recognise the need for fire drills and pre-palnning for fire

Recognise active and passive fire safety features and facilities

Be able to identify and use a range of portable fire extinguishers
