We can offer both 'load' handling and 'patient' handling training courses. These can be held on-site at your venue.

Moving & Handling loads
More people take time off work with back injuries than for any other illness. Help your staff remain fit and healthy by teaching them how to move office equipment safely and correctly.
Course objectives:-
To provide and update staff with the latest legislation regarding Manual Handling. To promote a safer handling environment within the Organisation through the key principles of good manual handling and safer handling techniques.
Course Content:-
- Manual handling legislation,
- Employer / Employee responsibilities,
- Spinal awareness / postures,
- Risk assessment,
- RIDDOR,
- Safe working loads,
- handling techniques.
This course takes 3 hours and we can take up to 20 people per course.
Moving & Handling People
Course objectives:-
To provide and update staff with the latest legislation regarding Manual Handling. To promote a safer handling environment within the Organisation through the key principles of good manual handling and safer handling techniques.
Course Content:-
- Work related injuries,
- Employers & employees legal and professional responsibilities,
- Basic spinal anatomy & postures,
- Safe working loads,
- Risk assessments & ergonomics,
- Condemned handling techniques,
- Tissue viability,
- Practical session.
This should be a 1 day training course. We can take up to 10 people per course.
