On-Site Anaphylaxis
Anaphylaxis can be delivered to your staff on-site, this is often in combination with basic life support training. However, for anaphylaxis alone the course will take 1.5hrs. Our trainers cover the up to date Resuscitation Council guidelines in both the recognition and treatment of anaphylaxis. Training in intramuscular injection technique or the use of an Epipen can also be covered if required, which may extend the course.
Course objectives:
- To understand the term anaphylactic shock
- To be able to describe signs & symptoms
- To discuss initial management of the condition, including the administration of adrenaline
- To discuss the appropriate handover of the patient
