Vaccine Training for Pharmacists
Many pharmacists are now expanding their services to include the delivery of vaccines. Over the past few years we have been heavily involved in the delivery of vaccine training. The one day course covers:
- The safe & effective administration of vaccinations
- The correct technique for intramuscular injections - including practical assessments (on training arms!)
- The recognition and treatment for anaphylaxis
- The recognition and treatment for a patient in cardiac arrest

New to 2011, this enables pharmacists to attend a half day practical workshop only. This course would need to be completed first.
